In 1959, in Pesaro \u2014 the heart-city of Italian furniture-making, on the Adriatic Riviera \u2014 Febal was born. In the 1960s it brought Italian homes one of the first modular kitchens: the idea that a kitchen isn't a piece of furniture, but a system that adapts to the space and to family life.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t

In 2025, at Milan Design Week, Febal Casa unveiled something few kitchen houses in the world can: an island and sideboard designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, inspired by the low waves of the Adriatic \u2014 the ones shaped by the sandy seabed of the Riviera.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t

The doors are sculptures: back-painted fused glass with a metallic effect, where the literally embossed wave catches the light. The aluminium frame, in nero or champagne, holds the glass like a picture frame.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t
