Cold, all-white minimalism gives way to earthy shades, natural materials and islands that become the social centre of the home. Below are the five trends, with the real shades and materials of the Italian houses we curate.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Warm minimalism:<\/strong> clean, handleless lines, warm materials.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Natural wood and stone<\/strong> in the foreground.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Deep, earthy shades<\/strong> instead of all white.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The island<\/strong> as the heart of everyday life.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Kitchen and living room<\/strong> with one language.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h2>1. Warm minimalism<\/h2>\n<p>Clean, handleless lines stay, but gain warmth. Instead of cold, glossy surfaces, 2026 brings <strong>matt finishes, warm materials<\/strong> and a sense of calm. Minimalism no longer means \u201cempty\u201d and \u201ccold\u201d, but understated and welcoming.<\/p>\n<p>Technically, the \u201cclean\u201d front comes in two ways: the <strong>gola<\/strong>, an aluminium channel in the body of the unit, or the recessed handle within the door panel itself. Natural wood and stone<\/h2>\n<p>Natural wood, in veneer or solid, and stone surfaces dominate. Textures become part of the design: wood grain, matt stone and natural imperfections that give character. It is a turn towards materials that age beautifully.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Knotty wood.<\/strong> In <a href=\"\/en\/brands\/scandola-mobili\/kitchen\/maestrale\/\">Scandola Maestrale<\/a> the Nora front is three layers of <strong>solid knotty spruce, 2.5 cm thick<\/strong>, brushed. More in our guide to <a href=\"\/en\/masif-kouzines\/\">solid wood kitchens<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Stone in large slabs.<\/strong> The <a href=\"\/en\/brands\/ascale\/\">Ascale<\/a> is sintered stone made from <strong>100% natural minerals<\/strong>, in sheets up to 320\u00d7160 cm. The island as a social hub<\/h2>\n<p>The island is no longer just a work surface. It becomes the place where the family gathers, cooks and entertains. <strong>A snack worktop, concealed lighting and open shelves<\/strong> turn it into the heart of daily life, and hobs with an integrated extractor, such as the one from <a href=\"\/en\/brands\/bora\/\">Bora<\/a>, keep the ceiling above it clear. Kitchen and living as one<\/h2>\n<p>The 2026 kitchen does not stop at the worktop: it continues into the living area, with shared materials, colours and furniture compositions. It is the same thinking that leads us to design with you not only the kitchen, but often the whole home.<\/p>\n<p>The house that does this most completely is <a href=\"\/en\/brands\/febal-casa\/\">Febal Casa<\/a>. It started in <strong>1959 in Pesaro<\/strong> from the kitchen and today designs <strong>kitchen, living, wardrobes and walk-in<\/strong> with a single language.
