Classic Scandola Margot Kitchen in Grigio Londra — Nea Ionia
In Nea Ionia we designed, together with the owners, a classic U-shaped Scandola kitchen with a breakfast bar, with Margot doors from the Maestrale line in matt Grigio Londra lacquer. The warm wood-look Forest HPL Unicolor worktop balances the grey of the cabinetry, while the stone splashback and the black appliances set the character of the space.
Materials & Composition
Scandola Margot doors (Maestrale line) in matt Grigio Londra V110 lacquer, on solid fir. Worktop and splashback return in Forest HPL Unicolor with a wood look. A black granite sink with a chrome tap, a black freestanding range with retro handles, a black chimney hood, a stone splashback and industrial ceiling lights.

Which furniture range is it?
Scandola Mobili, the Maestrale line — the house's classic-contemporary range in solid fir wood (abete). The door is the Margot model, with a Laccato Opaco finish in Grigio Londra (V110) matt lacquer.
What is a Forest HPL Unicolor worktop?
HPL is high-pressure laminate. In the Unicolor version the core is the same colour as the surface, so the edge does not show the dark line of ordinary laminates. It gives a warm wood look, withstands daily use and needs none of the maintenance of solid wood.
Does matt lacquer scratch easily?
It does not show fingerprints the way gloss does and wipes clean with a damp cloth and a mild detergent. Avoid abrasive pads and solvents — those are what scratch the finish.
