The table is the piece you use every day, and the only one the whole household sits around. We choose it with you — shape, size, material and finish — from the Italian houses we already curate for the kitchen and the living room.

  • They are not built in the showroom. We work them through catalogues, material and finish samples, and moodboards.
  • The room decides shape and size — round, oval, rectangular or extendable.
  • Finishes are compared beside the kitchen's own, so they belong together rather than match by luck.
  • Delivery 4–12 weeks, depending on the house and the finish.

Which houses

Not every house we curate makes tables: the door, bathroom and boiserie houses carry no dining furniture in their price lists. Six of them do.

Shape and size

The room and the number of people decide the shape, not the catalogue.

Round for smaller dining rooms and for conversation — nobody sits at the far end. GF Interiors' Yass is Ø150 cm.

Oval when you want the length without the sharp corners: the oval Yass reaches 260 × 113 cm.

Rectangular or prismatic for the large tables — the prismatic Yass goes to 278 × 127 cm. The square Oliver comes in 130 × 130 and 150 × 150 cm at 73 cm high, the standard dining height, so it works with a chair from the catalogue.

Extendable when the number changes through the year: Etruria from Febal Casa, Osaka, Alias and Kubo from Sira, and the extending versions of Scandola's Tabià.

Materials

The surface is the decision you live with every day. The rest are aesthetic.

The top

  • Solid wood — oak and walnut, on turned or straight legs. This is Callesella and Scandola territory.
  • Veneer over a board core — Gentili's classic line.
  • Ceramic / gres — takes heat and does not stain. Available on GF Interiors tables.
  • Glass and metal — for modern dining rooms, usually over a wooden or metal base.

The chair

  • Fabric, leather or ecopelle — the sample in your hand decides this, not the catalogue photograph.
  • A wooden seat for daily use and easy cleaning.
  • An upholstered back when the dining room is also where you stay after dinner.
  • Stools in the same finish, when there is an island as well.

How it is chosen

The same process as the kitchen, on a smaller scale.

  1. We measure the room. A table needs about 90 cm clear around it, so a chair can be pulled out without hitting anything.
  2. We settle shape and size from how many of you sit down on an ordinary day, and how many at Christmas.
  3. We choose material and finish with samples — and beside the kitchen or living-room finishes.
  4. A moodboard of the whole set, before anything is ordered.
  5. The order goes to the house, made for your room.

What people ask us most

Can I see tables in the showroom?

Not built. The showroom in Neo Psychiko has kitchens, wardrobes, one walk-in and a living-room composition installed. Tables and chairs we work through catalogues, material and finish samples and moodboards — and order for your own room.

Can I buy only a table and chairs, without a kitchen?

Yes. Plenty of projects start with a single piece.

How long is delivery?

4–12 weeks, depending on the house and the finish. Solid wood and special finishes usually take longer than standard ones.

Will the table suit my kitchen?

That is exactly what the design stage is for. Because we curate the same houses for the kitchen, the living room and the dining room, finishes are compared with samples side by side instead of hoping they agree.

Which shape should I choose?

If the room is small, or you want conversation, round. If you need seats, rectangular or oval. If the number changes through the year, extendable.

Ceramic or solid wood top?

Ceramic takes heat and stains and asks for almost no care. Solid wood gains a patina over time and can be sanded back. It is a choice of character, not of quality.
